Bangkok Day 3

An attempt to make sense of the day –

Having just had dinner, two bunches of very ripe bananas & completed a shower day three in Bangkok is done. Well, it will be if I can come to terms with the fact that lots of things don’t feel like they line up.

I mean, is there really any point raving about how tonight’s bananas only cost 8 baht, & pork with fried rice out for dinner 50 baht when I have costs at home in New Zealand that cost lots of times more? I mean, do we need to balance all of this out? How do we release stress? What was I REALLY meant to do with today?

What did I do? Plenty of random talks with new people, walking, train rides, interesting stuff to look at. No photos. Some pondering.

Am I meant to take photos, & if I do what are they supposed to prove?

I have to come to the place where I’m not worried about how much acommodation costs. Instead must ask, did that place provide the environment for planning & actioning a plan that has more added value than expense?

Instead of trying to get the cheapest dinner I have to ask myself what the body needs. What will help this body to do today & the future in wholeness; with health?

It is time to learn some new ways. Not take pictures because I want approval or to be recognised. Not skipping a needed meal because other people I’m with are in a hurry to get to the next thing. Nor constantly doing the maths over spending. There are ways to overcome all of this..

  1. Steve,
I recon you should take photos – then you can decide what to do with them later. You don’t have to show anyone else those photos if you don’t want to, but at least you’ll have the option.
