People ask me,
‘What are you go to do for our region?‘
I respond by saying,
‘We are in this together. It’s not about you or me. It’s about us, you and me!‘
I am keen on see us developing living arrangements for all people to contribute to commercial and community enterprises. There is no perfect age to lead new developments – everyone has something to offer.
To build our future we will need new industry and innovation hubs, where commercial markets and community needs can be researched and developed. What we create in Southland needs to be connected to other parts of the country and the world, but we must learn to distribute resources and money locally among the population. We will need better health services, including primary care to support people in rural areas and buildings which are modern, well designed, warm and affordable.
I plan to work with you to bring together our resources, so that ordinary people benefit.
